Has FEMA Forgetten About Lee County?

During President Donald Trump's visit to southwest Florida Thursday, he might have noticed that the area has been slow to get federal help.

The Fort Myers News Press reports that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has yet to open any Disaster Recovery Centers in Lee County.

Residents weren't told where they could get food, water and other necessities until Wednesday, according to the report.

At a news conference, FEMA Administrator Brock Long didn't know where or when Lee County's Disaster Recovery Centers would open, saying that clearing debris and restoring power are the priorities.
