With eight confirmed deaths throughout Monroe County, and six other deaths confirmed earlier Wednesday at a Hollywood nursing home, Florida's death toll from Irma has climbed to 21.
It had been at 16, including the deaths of four people in Central Florida from carbon-monoxide poisoning.
Another person died in Daytona Beach Wednesday morning and three died in Orange County on Tuesday.
They all had been in houses where a generator was allowed to run indoors.
