Governor Rick Scott is keeping the phone close to his ear as the state braces for Hurricane Irma.
As of Tuesday morning, he's already spoken with the President of the United States, the Division of Emergency Management Director and the police chiefs.
At 9:30 a.m, he will also contact school principals.
He's expected to be at the State Emergency Operations Center by this afternoon for a briefing shortly after 5.
