According to a Hialeah police report, the victim was Ramirez-Mejia's aunt.

Ramirez-Mejia allegedly told police his aunt agreed to meet with him at his Miami apartment to discuss a business they had together when she fainted and fell to the ground.

Ramirez-Mejia said he couldn't feel a pulse, so he took a large kitchen knife and cut off her head at the neck "to hide her identity," the police report said.

Police said Ramirez-Mejia later changed his story and said they got into a fight when he cut her several times with the knife. He told police that he carried her to the bathtub and started to cut off her.

Workers at Waste Connection, in the 4200 block of Northwest 37th Court, found the woman's body Monday and called police.

Ramirez-Mejia is being held without bond.
