The cleanup at the huge sinkhole north of Tampa is finally wrapping up.
For more than a week, crews have been pulling debris out of the gaping hole in Land O'Lakes. In the meantime, the situation is prompting Pasco County Emergency Manager Kevin Gutherie to urge residents to make sure they have homeowner's insurance.
Gutherie says the homes impacted by the sinkhole had catastrophic-collapse coverage which only pays up to the value of the policy.
A total of seven homes were condemned as the sinkhole continued to expand.
It's important to verify that homeowner's insurance policies are up to date, Gutherie reminds.
