Four teens are now facing charges after posting videos vandalizing Hollywood Police vehicles on social media.
A Dania Beach teen posted videos to Instagram of he and three friends smashing windshields and stomping on the hoods of the police car and a code enforcement vehicle parked at the Driftwood Recreational Center, 300 N. 69th Ave., as decoy cars to prevent crime in the area, according to a police report.
The incident, which took place in the early morning hours of July 23, totaled nearly $7,000 worth of damage, authorities say.
A tipster alerted authorities of the videos. One showed four boys on the hood of one of the cars.
That post is what led police to the Aug. 3 and 4 arrests of Jonathan Berroa, 18, of Dania Beach, Zachary Novak, 18, of Hollywood and two minors, police said.
The teens face property damage and criminal mischief charges.
