A Dania Beach grandmother is recovering after her home's ceiling collapsed on top of her.
According to renter Terry Eubanks, his wife and granddaughter were watching TV Sunday night when the soggy drywall fell on them.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The 2-year-old child was not hurt.
Eubanks says this is the third time something like this has happened since they moved in to the Dania Beach home in the 100 block of N.W. 6th Avenue. “Nobody should live like that, when you have to worry about the ceiling falling on you,” he said.
He says there are numerous leaks, and he hopes his landlord fixes the issues as soon as possible so they can dry out as soon as possible.
