Will The Real Hemingway Please Stand Up? Look-Alike Contest Afoot In Keys

Things are just heating up in Key West amid the 37th annual Hemingway Days festival (running through Sunday, July 23.)

And, Thursday night, about 160 stocky, bearded men resembling Ernest Hemingway himself gathered around Key West's Sloppy Joe's Bar to participate in the annual "Hemingway Look-Alike Contest."

Judged by former winners, the three-night contest is a highlight of the Hemingway Days festival honoring the late author. Check out a full recap of last night's prelim round:

These competitors are no joke... and sometimes... even hard to tell apart because of the uncanny resemblance! Many even don sportsman-like and athletic garb (probably to confuse us even more!).

Entrants include repeat contender Michael Groover, husband of celebrity chef Paula Deen.

Deen cheered from the audience as her husband made the semifinal round set for Saturday evening.
