Tim Tebow fans in Central Florida fans get their first and only chance to see him play baseball this season starting Friday night.
Tebow, 29, and the St. Lucie Mets open a four-game series with the Florida Fire Frogs at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee. It will be Central Florida’s only up-close look at Tebow as a baseball player this season.
The former Florida Gators Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback has been improving at the plate since being promoted to St. Lucie last month.
In 23 games with the Mets, Tebow is hitting .320, with three homers and 14 RBIs.
