Don't pack up those backpacks just yet...
While almost all public school students in Florida will return back to class on August 10th, the two largest districts, and the two closest to home, will have a late start next month.
Schools in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties will open on August 21st.
A 2015 state law says districts can set their own calendars as long as there are 180 days of class in the school year.
