Three Ohio residents each face multiple drug charges after allegedly leaving a 6-year-old boy alone at a rest stop along Interstate 95 in Florida.

James Robert Morey, 62, Charlene Pitts, 56, and Andrea Jean Yantone, 55, were arrested Saturday when they returned to the rest stop near St. Augustine on Florida's Atlantic coast.

Authorities say a woman called deputies saying the boy couldn't find his grandparents.

An arrest report says that 20 minutes after the call, a van arrived and the deputy discussed the call about the boy being alone with the people inside.

Deputies found two syringes loaded with a brown liquid, pill bottles and a substance identified as "tar" heroin.

The three remain in jail Tuesday. Morey and Yantone are both being held on a $22,000 bond. Pitts is held on a $12,000 bond.

The child is in Florida state custody.
