One of the founding members of Miami's notorious rap band "2 Live Crew" has died.
Fellow member Luther Campbell broke the news of Christopher Wong Won's death on Twitter Thursday morning.
2 Live Crew co-founder Wong Won was just 53-years-old. Wong Won was best known by his hip-hop alias, “Fresh Kid Ice,” with the Miami-based group.
The group's manager tells TMZ he suffered a medical condition and died this morning just before 8 a.m. in a Miami hospital.
The details surrounding Fresh Kid Ice’s death are still unknown, and it’s unclear how long he was in the hospital before he tragically passed away.
The late hip-hop star was known for being a pioneer for Asians in rap music. He also played a part in discovering local rapper Flo-Rida's career.
