NOAA Moving Out Of South Florida?

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is thinking of moving part or all of its operations from Miami to St. Petersburg.

There are currently 140 NOAA employees at the St. Petersburg regional office.

But because of consolidation plans being considered at the federal level, up to 200 additional high paying positions could end up being moved there.

It's not clear when a final decision will be made.
