Florida Charter Schools to Get Millions in Aid

Florida's charter schools will get an extra $96 million dollars in aid for construction and maintenance projects in the upcoming school year.  The funds will be handed over by local school districts as part of the education bill signed by Governor Scott this month.

Districts with the most students, including Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, will take the biggest hits under the new money sharing formula.  Miami-Dade will have to fork over more than $23 million dollars.
