Broward businesses rocked by the onslaught of rain could be eligible to get financial help from the state.
The county is looking for enough small businesses - specifically in the Sawgrass Mills Mall - to qualify for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program.
"We're asking small businesses in Broward County to complete and submit a business damage assessment survey by June 27, 2017 to ensure funding will be made available," said Miguel Ascarrunz, Director of Broward County's Emergency Management Division. "If we don't get at least five applications, the SBA will not consider any loans for Broward County."

Loan money can be used to meet necessary financial obligations that would have been met if there hadn't been all the flooding.
