Skies have cleared, but a large outlet mall that is a popular tourist attraction in Florida will remain closed for the third consecutive day because of a severely flooded parking lot.
Police in Sunrise tweeted Friday morning that Sawgrass Mills will remains closed.
A message on the mall's website says it plans to reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Up to 15 inches of rain were recorded at over a three-day period at the mall. Parking lots and roads around the massive outlet mall flooded. WIOD was live on the scene Wednesday to report on the wet conditions.
Pumping operations are continuing.
