Now that a giant Marathon marina fire early this morning is under control, investigators can go in to determine a cause.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office first received word of the blaze at the Vaca Key Marina just after 2:30a.
U.S. 1 was closed in both directions at mile marker 47.5 for more than four hours because fire hoses were running across the highway.
By 8 a.m. traffic was flowing again in both directions.

A giant Marathon marina fire has been burning for about four hours now.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office first received word of the blaze at the Vaca Key Marina just after 2:30a.
U.S. 1 is closed in both directions at mile marker 47.5 because fire hoses are running across the highway.
After the fire is out, investigators will go in to determine what sparked it.
