Pro Football Hall-of-Famer and former Miami Hurricanes star Michael Irvin says he will soon be cleared of a sexual assault charge by officials in Ft. Lauderdale.
Irvin tells KRLD-FM in Dallas that he's been informed by law enforcement agents that his name will be cleared of the charge made by a long-time friend that he drugged and assaulted her on March 21st at a the W Hotel.
The 51-year-old former Cowboys and Canes wide receiver, who has been working as an NFL Network broadcaster, was never arrested in connection with the alleged crime.
