An explosive alert was issued Wednesday in Southwest Miami-Dade after workers excavating a pool discovered an ammunition stash buried behind a home.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and a Hazmat team responded to the scene at 28362 S.W. 128 Path after the discovery was called in during the morning.
A Miami-Dade spokesperson said the ammunition was buried in "doomsday prep style."
The explosive alert has since been canceled.
