Police are investigating after a man's body washed ashore on Hollywood beach and was found with a possible gunshot wound to the head Wednesday morning.
Officials say the deceased black male was found in the water just south of Magnolia Terrace, and is approximately 30 years in age.
Crime investigators responded to the scene just before 6:30 a.m., but Hollywood Police Department officials say it is too early to determine if the case is a crime and whether or not it occurred in Hollywood.
Authorities also say that it is too early to tell if the wound to the man's head is a from a gunshot or another type of trauma.
No other information is available at this time.
