BSO Searching For Oakland Park Suspect



Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for a 34-year-old man who shot and kidnapped his girlfriend from an Oakland Park hotel last week.

Bruce Leroy Williams is wanted on a warrant for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Around 12:30 p.m. May 8, BSO deputies responded to a call of shots fired at Universal Palms Hotel, 4900 Powerline Road. According to witnesses, Williams shot his girlfriend and then kidnapped her. He dropped the 36-year-old victim off outside the emergency room entrance of a local hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Williams, who is also known as “Pig,” is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs roughly 220 lbs. He may be driving a 2016 silver Hyundai Tucson SUV with an Illinois tag of R364796. Williams’ last known address is in Deerfield Beach.
