One star of the 2015 movie ‘Straight Outta Compton’ was arrested in South Florida Sunday after an alleged assault caught on camera inside a Sunny Isles Beach hotel.
Officers responded to a call about a lobby fight at the Marenas Beach Resort off Collins Avenue and 187th Street shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses say 40-year-old Richard Taylor allegedly fought a security guard after he was told to take his feet off of a table. Taylor allegedly got up and shoved the guard multiple times before the guard fought back and the two had to be separated.
Taylor was arrested and charged with battery.
He was given a bond of $1,500 and is expected to be in court Monday afternoon.
Taylor played the role of recording executive ‘Suge’ Knight in the story of the 1980’s hip-hop group N.W.A., which included such members as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Easy-E.
