Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood Back For An 18-Day Run

The online streaming service Twitch has announced that it will air every episode of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," all 886 episodes of the beloved PBS program, over an 18-day period. 

The stream will begin Monday, and will be available here beginning 3 p.m. EST. 

Reports say that the stream will begin with footage of Fred Rogers testifying before a Senate committee about the value of public television

The marathon to follow will include many episodes that only aired once and and are unavailable elsewhere online.

During the stream, Twitch will be running a fundraising campaign to support their local PBS station. All proceeds donated to the campaign in the U.S. will support local PBS stations.

“Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” debuted in 1968 and aired until 2001. 

The show starred Rogers, who spoke directly to viewers, performed songs and puppet shows, created arts and crafts for viewers, and took them on tours of real-life locations.
