(Washington, DC) -- National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster is firmly denying reports that President Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian officials. Trump met privately with Russia's U.S. ambassador and foreign minister last week. At the White House Monday evening, McMaster said a range of "common threats" were discussed. He insisted that intelligence sources, methods and military operations weren't discussed.
President Trump reportedly told Russian officials about classified information about an ISIS plot. McMaster said, quote -- "I was in the room; it didn't happen." McMaster made a brief statement to White House reporters and did not take questions. In earlier statements, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell also rejected the reports.
