Pass me some peanuts, and pretzels, and ...ice cream?
JetBlue has announced that it is adding artisanal ice cream to the on-flight menu in its premium class experience.
Passengers who fly the airline's version of business class will enjoy an ice cream menu that features five brands and a rotating selection of flavors.
Depending where you fly out of, you will be treated a unique dessert from a locally-based ice cream maker. Travelers from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will enjoy South Florida's own The Frieze's renowned flavors such as Indian mango sorbet and banana rama ice cream.
“These are the local artisanal ice creams you wait in line for on a hot summer night, not the industrial dairy dessert products that you’d find in other premium cabins,” Jamie Perry, vice president of marketing, said in a press release.
With all the negative press that's surrounded airlines lately, this is the sweetest bit of information we've heard in a while!
