The owner of two sober homes in Palm Beach County was arrested on Wednesday, charged with multiple accounts of patient brokering.
Matthew Anderson, 38, allegedly offered free rent to residents of his Anastasia's Way sober home as long as they attended London Treatment Center.
Authorities say there have been numerous checks made out to Anderson and Anastasia's Way from London Treatment Center.
The home, located at 629 Clear Lake Avenue in West Palm Beach, has been in operation since June of last year. A second location of the sober home, 5986 Ithaca Circle West, opened in August of 2016.
This is the 22nd arrest by the Palm Beach County Sober Home Task Force since last October. Police allegedly responded to 28 calls, including six overdoses, to Anastasia's Way sober home in the past year.
Anderson is due in court Thursday morning.
