Cat Gets Oxygen After Miami-Dade House Fire Rescue

A pet cat was given oxygen and is expected to make a full recovery after a fire swept through a Miami-Dade home Tuesday.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the home on Southwest 86th Lane near 132nd Court and found flames and heavy smoke pouring out, officials said.

No residents, except kitty Coconut Raindrop, were home at the time of the fire.

Coconut Raindrop was rescued and treated at the scene before being returned to its owner, officials said.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
