Accused Cop Killer Heads To Monroe County To Face Charges

The suspect charged in the death of a Delray Beach police officer who was vacationing in Key West is heading back to Monroe County this morning.

Police arrested 32-year old Lacy Morris last week in Broward County and she was transferred to a Miami-Dade Corrections facility two days later. She has been held there since her arrest.

Morris has a history of drug arrests and is facing several charges including DUI-manslaughter after she crashed her car into a scooter that killed Officer Christine Braswell back in early April.
