Some people are just dying to go to prom.
A New Jersey teen stunned classmates when she overlooked the classic limousine option and, instead, opted to roll up to prom in a hearse and coffin.
Lying in an open coffin, 17-year-old Megan Flaherty was slid out of the back of a hearse at her Pennsauken High School's junior prom Saturday. She stepped out of the prop coffin on the hand of her date, Stephen Caldwell, and headed into the prom with a big grin on her face.
Why a hearse and coffin? Flaherty says she wants to be a funeral director after college.
As far as her prom date, Flaherty says she made sure "he was OK" with her taking a hearse and exiting from a coffin.
