Employee Admits To Stealing $10K Of Scratch-Offs From Winn-Dixie Super Market

Little Torch resident and Winn-Dixie employee Theresa Blanco is accused of ripping off $10,000 of lottery tickets from Win-Dixie Super Markets.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Big Pine Winn-Dixie store noticed a $13,786 shortage in their lottery inventory.

After contacting the sheriff’s office, a corporate employee showed surveillance video to an investigating detective. The video, MCSO says, shows Blanco taking $25 scratch-off tickets and paying for $2 and $5 tickets.

Blanco, 41, admitted to taking $10,000 worth of lottery tickets, according to the sheriff’s office. She was charged with one count of grand theft greater than $300 and less than $5,000.
