WATCH: Sea Lion From SeaWorld Found Wandering the Streets of San Diego

Officers were called to the Mission Bay area of San Diego Sunday, with reports of a jaywalker.

Turns out, the perpetrator was a lost sea lion, who washed ashore near SeaWorld San Diego Sunday amid heavy rainfall. Once she reached land, the pup decided to start wandering the nearby San Diego streets.

Authorities say the female pup was one of seven sea lions SeaWorld San Diego released into the ocean Saturday. Of the seven, she was the only one to swim back north to SeaWorld.

Rescue officials were called to the scene to rescue the sea lion.

SeaWorld will take care of the animal a little longer before releasing her into the wild again.
