Perdue Recalls Sausage Products For Possible Plastic Contamination

Perdue has issued a recall for their chicken sausage products due to the possibility of plastic contamination. 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Saturday that the recall involves 24-ounce packages of Perdue Harvestland Organic Italian Chicken Sausage.

Reports say that at least three customers claim to have found blue plastic in their sausage links. However, no injuries have been reported.

The recalled product is Perdue Harvestland Organic Italian Chicken Sausage. The package code is 64405 and the sell-by or freeze-by date is June 25.

More than 2,000 pounds of sausage have been affected by the recall.
