Well-known bagel and cafe chain Einstein Bros. Bagels has introduced their Espresso Buzz Bagel, which is amped up with 32mg (!!!) or caffeine. That's right... this bagel lets you have your coffee, and eat it, too.
With a third of the amount of caffeine that's in a standard cup, it won't necessarily give you the extra kick your usual latte will, but it's great for grabbing-and-going sans the spillage factor.
The bagel has 13 grams of protein and the caffeine is naturally sourced from both espresso and coffee-cherry flour.
And talk about a hangover cure! Einstein Bros. is also offering a breakfast sandwich LOADED with bacon and eggs atop the Espresso Buzz Bagel. It's got almost 600 calories, but, you know, worth it, right?
The caffeinated carb is part of a new line of "Boosted Bagels", which features innovative recipes. Other boosted options include the sweet, oat-topped Cherry Chia Bagel and the Savory Parm Bagel.
