The People's Climate movement in Washington D.C. Saturday and 'sister' marches will take place in South Florida to stand in solidarity with the event.
David Gibson, one of the Mar-a-Lago organizers says the climate crisis affects Florida and the world.
"What we're talking about now is mitigation we can't turn it back, we have to mitigate and that's going to cost some money and we shouldn't be spending it on war and oil, pulling natural gas out of the ground," said Gibson.
Sister marches will also take place in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
