A utility worker is dead after being electrocuted by a power line in Cape Coral.
Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) says the victim was an employee of MasTec, an engineering and construction company.
Fire officials say the unidentified victim was working on power lines near city hall Tuesday morning when he inadvertently touched a high-voltage line.
The incident happened at SE 8th Avenue and SE 10th Street.
Florida Occupational Safety and Health Office and Cape Coral Police are investigating.
