Miami Passport Center Addresses Flooding, Shutdown Until Further Notice

The Miami Passport Agency shut down Monday morning due to a burst water pipe.

The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs took to Twitter Monday to inform its audience that the Omni Center building, located at 1501 W. Biscayne Blvd., is flooded and will be "closed until further notice as damages are repaired."

Tuesday, officials met outside of the Omni Center building to address the public' concerns.

Ryan Dooley, head of the Miami Passport Agency, assured the public that although the building is shutdown until further notice, most people in need of an urgent passport do not (and would not) have needed to come to the Omni Center, regardless.
