MADD's PowerTalk 21: A Good Day to Talk to Your Kids About Alcohol

April 21st is Power Talk 21 Day, a day for parents to talk to their teens about alcohol.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is behind the push.  Helen Witty with MADD in Miami-Dade says alcohol continues to be the drug that's most used and abused by our youth.

"Research shows that time and again that these conversations are critical.  Three-quarters of our young people say that they make their decisions on alcohol based on their parents influence," said Witty.

She says it's held on the 21st to highlight the 21 age drinking law.

MADD offers free information for parents on how to talk to your teen about alcohol.
