Jobless claims are up, up, up once again.
Thursday morning's figures from the Labor Department show 244,000 Americans filed first-time claims for unemployment benefits last week.
That's 10,000 more than the previous week and 2,000 more than economists had forecast.
Florida is among the states showing notably large jumps in claims. Other states with large increases include California, Texas, Arizona and New York.
The sharpest declines in initial claims were in Michigan, Kansas, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee.
