Wilton Manors Police Search For Serial "Egg Tossers"

Police in Wilton Manors are on the hunt for serial "egg-tossers" who have been throwing eggs at people from passing cars. Authorities say several incidents have been reported in recent weeks of citizens getting hit by eggs that are thrown from moving vehicles. The incidents have all taken place in the arts and entertainment district along Wilton Drive and nearby roadways.

Police said the crime can be considered a second-degree felony and is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Authorities continue to investigate the situation and say they are taking the appropriate measures to apprehend the suspects at large. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.

"These incidents are concerning to our Agency and we are actively investigating these incidents and taking a proactive approach to apprehend these individuals while also determining the intent of their unlawful actions," police said in a statement.
