The Florida Department of Health and the city of Pembroke Pines are bumping heads over drinking water quality.
The state says a letter claiming that the water is safe to drink sent to resident by the city is not accurate. Health officials say the water does not meet proper standards because of high levels of contaminants.
At a public meeting where the matter was discussed last night, Pembroke Pines city officials said they will now have a third-party test the water, and figure out a way to clean it up.
