City of Pembroke Pines holds Emergency Meeting

The City of Pembroke Pines holding an emergency meeting over quality water issues. The Florida Department of Health will be in attendance to answer questions from residents after test results in one area of the city showed a high level of contaminants. 

City Mayor Frank Ortis has maintained the city's drinking water is safe. “I have a restaurant in Pembroke Pines, I serve the water everyday.  People are drinking the water, everyday.”

A representative from the Florida department of Health will e present and available to answer questions from the public. Tonight’s meeting:  Water Matters will take place at 7 PM  in the City Commission Chambers located on the first floor of old City Hall 10100 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, FL  33026.
