An 8-year-old student dies after being shot in a San Bernardino classroom during what police describe as a murder-suicide.
The suspected gunman, 53-year-old Cedric Anderson, of Riverside, shot his wife, 53-year-old Elaine Smith. She was a teacher in the special-needs classroom for students in first through fourth grades where the shooting took place. Police say he said nothing and opened fire on his wife with a large-caliber revolver. Two children standing behind Smith were struck by gunfire.
Police identified the boy who died as Jonathan Martinez. Authorities didn't name the other boy who was wounded and is now in stable condition.

San Bernardino Police Chief confirms two adults are dead after apparent murder-suicide at elementary school. He believes the suspect is down and there is no further threat.

A shooting at an elementary school in San Bernardino, California, is believed to be a murder suicide. A spokeswoman for the San Bernardino City Unified school district says two children and a teacher were wounded in the shooting at North Park Elementary School. She said all the other students at the school are safe. San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan says the shooting took place in a classroom. Burguan said the shooter was "possibly down."

Officials say multiple people have been shot at North Park Elementary School in San Bernardino, California.
According to San Bernardino spokesperson chief Jarrod Nurguan, four victims are being treated, and the suspect is down following the incident Monday afternoon.
Authorities believe that the act is a murder-suicide.
The San Bernardino County Fire first confirmed there were multiple victims, but did not provide a count.
The elementary students have been moved to a nearby high school to take shelter.
