UPDATE: Nearly 916 acres have been charred by a brushfire still burning in Western Broward County. The Florida Forestry Service says that the fire is 20% contained. Authorities are watching the wind and dry conditions overnight. Mike Jachles, spokesperson for Broward Sheriff's Office says, " People with underlying medical conditions such as respiratory ailments or cardiovascular issues should stay inside in the air conditioning and keep windows closed until an all clear is given." Jachles adds that BSO Fire and Rescue is filling tankers and standing by in case structures are threatened. The fire came close to a shed at Holiday park, but did not harm any structures.

A massive brush fire is burning through Broward County. Crews worked through the night Wednesday to contain a fire near a mobile home park in Pembroke Pines.
So far, more than 600 acres have been charred to the west of Pembroke Pines, with flames coming as close as 200 yards from some local homes.
Officials say the fire is moving north and becoming a threat to nearby Holiday Park.
The blaze is expected to spread before it is able to be successfully contained.
