Cooper City Baseball Coach Pleads Guilty To Child Mollestation

A former Cooper City baseball coach has pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges that he molested two boys. He originally pleaded not guilty in 2015.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), David Solomon molested two 11-year-old boys who played with his son in the Cooper City Optimist League. BSO added that the sexual assaults occurred during sleep overs at Solomon’s house and during car rides.

In 2000, Solomon faced several molestation charges involving minors while working as a physical education teacher at Hialeah Gardens Elementary School.

Solomon pleaded guilty in court, in exchange for 12 years in prison. He could have faced a life sentence.
