The City of Miami Beach Gay Pride Week gets its official start with the re-raising of the Pride Flag at City Hall. Commissioner Mike Grieco says that the flag flies every day throughout the year and stands for equality for everyone. “We do everything that we can to promote understanding, to promote open mindedness. I want more people to come out and get a feeling for what it is that we do out here, not just all year, but especially during Pride.”
More than 100,000 people are expected to attend events this weekend including a Beach Party and Pride Parade. For more info click here
