DEVELOPING: Second Worker Plummets From Scaffolding in 24 Hours

A worker is being rushed to the hospital after falling 30 feet from a scaffold in Fort Lauderdale. 

The incident happened at a building in the 1100 block of N. Federal Highway Friday morning. The worker was taken to Broward Health as a trauma alert, fire rescue officials said.

This marks the second construction accident within 24 hours.

Thursday,  Jorge Cabada was rushed to the Hospital in Miami Beach in critical condition after falling from a seventh-floor scaffolding. Cabada was conscious at the time but unable to give investigators details about what happened.

No other information is immediately known.
