SHOCKING: Ivanka Takes Official Role In the White House

My, my, my; oh how the times have changed! Ivanka Trump is changing course and has solidified her position as a federal employee, despite her previously denying any involvement in her father's administration. 

Presidewnt Donald Trump's daughter will now by an unpaid employee of the West Wing, subject to all of the same rules as other federal employees. 

Regardless, the position formalizes a role the 35-year old offering advice to her father.

Now, Ivanka Trump will serve as an "adviser" to the President, and will be legally bound by the ethics rules. Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband and a top Trump aide, is also serving the White House as an unpaid government employee.

Trump's new role was first reported by the New York Times Wednesday. 

“We are pleased that Ivanka Trump has chosen to take this step in her unprecedented role as First Daughter and in support of the President,” the White House said in a statement. “Ivanka’s service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available to her previously.”
