Mom of Carol City High School Student Arrested for Attacking Teen's Rival

A brawl between two teens at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair ended with the mother of a Carol City Senior High School student behind bars.

Officers say 30-year-old Ernstlatta LaFrance faces multiple charges after she showed up at the school to confront her daughter's rival.

Reports say LaFrance knocked a cellphone out of a Carol City high School student's hand and hit her.

The alleged victim later went to LaFrance's home, and another fight broke out. Police say LaFrance proceeded to break the teen's middle finger and destroy her car with an ax.

LaFrance then started talking about the incident on Facebook, according to a report by NBC 6.
