Miami Police are using social media to warn about an IRS phone scam that is targeting people across the state and nation.
One of the departments officers got a call from someone claiming to be with the IRS and threatening to arrest them if he didn't pay money.
The officer played along and confronted the scammer who eventually hung up.
The real IRS says it will never call you or ask for your credit or debit card information over the phone.
