Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayalon clears the air about a major misconception Americans may have when it comes to current relations with Israel.
He says many believe Israel gets the most money from us for defense, but he says if you compare their funds against any other ally, they're by far the smallest.
"Israel has never asked American boys or girls to put themselves in harms way for us. We are very proud that we can defend ourselves, by ourselves. I think in terms of assistance, it's a two way street," said Ayalon.
The ambassador was in town to speak to Nova Southeastern University students Tuesday night as a part of their Distinguished Speaker Series.
